"Elegance exudes cultural self-confidence. for the first 50 years, architecture has not even raised its head above the parapet and aspired to be visually pleasing or graceful. it has been about everything but elegance. it has been technologically innovative, clever, rational, symbolic, sustainable, contextual, ironic, gritty and even down right ugly or brutal. elegance is architecture at the top of it’s game, reasserting architecture’s position as a primary art.”

This project addresses reviving the use of the cliff by providing a mix use tower with a public park weaving up toward the cliff. Bringing back the social and community aspect of the history of the site. The public park links the tower, which will house a hotel, office space, a 50 meter long art gallery and viewing, with the rail station and new T-bana station. These weaving strips have multiple uses as a weaving public park, an access to the cliff, shading for the roof terraces and offices within, rain gutter system, services, acoustic blocker from traffic, snow collector and drainage, and circulation ramps to access the entire project.

This will produce a weave of people crossing paths to create new meeting opportunities and a social meeting place for the city of Stockholm.

This project was doing during my Part II Diploma Project at London Metropolitan University
